A CREATIVE COLLABORATION
From a simple brief to a collection shaped by Caribbean identity, craftsmanship and creative expression.
When the brief is simple, every detail matters.
For our latest creative collaboration, Trimingham worked with Jamaican artist Serani to develop a series of exclusive garments for his upcoming projects, including music videos, international appearances and photoshoots.
The starting point was straightforward: white garments.
From there, we brought the Trimingham perspective.
FROM WHITE CANVAS TO FINISHED GARMENT
Rather than treating white as the finished idea, we treated it as a canvas.
Selected pieces were individually developed with paint detailing applied by hand in green, yellow and black. These colours carry an unmistakable connection to Jamaica and the wider Caribbean story that continues to influence Trimingham.
The process was intentionally expressive. Paint placement, scale and movement developed organically across each garment, giving every piece its own character rather than following a conventional repeated print.
The result is clothing that sits between fashion, art and cultural expression.
THE FITTING
While Serani was in the UK for Reggaeland, we met for a fitting and saw the garments on him for the first time.
That moment is an important part of the Trimingham process. A piece can exist as an idea in the studio, but seeing it worn changes the conversation. Proportion, movement and personality all come into play.
The Heritage Paint Denim Jacket became one of the defining pieces from the collaboration, bringing together the clean white foundation of the original brief with the energy of its individually applied paint detailing.
FROM THE COLLABORATION TO THE COLLECTION
The original pieces were developed specifically for Serani, but the story continues.
Selected designs from the collaboration are now available as part of the Trimingham Summer Collection, giving our community the opportunity to own a piece connected to the project.
Produced in limited quantities, the collection carries the same visual language: white foundations, Caribbean inspired colour and the Trimingham signature.
